Louis XVI French Rattan (Bed Only Available)

    • Louis XVI furniture is characterised by elegance and neoclassicism. Much of this style of furniture is a return to Greek and Roman styles (Greco-Roman) and came about in the late 1700's. A great deal of this furniture was designed and made for Queen Antoinette, and used in the palace of Versailles. This is often referred to as the Regency period.
    • The Louis XVI Regency range, has taken the classic ideas and stylings from that period, and implemented them into a modern contemporary form. Beautiful shapes and markings adorn the products in this range. To further modernise the Regency concept, the inclusion of authentic Rattan wood has been added. The rattan sits in front of a solid piece of wood so that the holes are not transparent. This range has a rustic finish and look, and its charm is embellished by the use of the reclaimed timber
    • The wood used for this range is natural reclaimed solid fir wood. These are very good quality, solid and large pieces of timber. The old top layer of wood is sanded back and then varnished. As this is reclaimed wood, the wood appearance and finish is rustic and imperfect, and each section of wood will have its own look and character. This means the products will have beautiful and unique markings in the wood, knots, mixed grain patterns, cracks etc, which adds to the visual appeal of the range.
    • The products are manufactured by both machine and by hand. Each piece is personally made, and as such, each piece is unique.
